Dr Piotr Sadowski is an academic teacher, scholar, and author. He currently lectures on BA arts programmes in film, literature, and drama in Dublin Business School, Ireland. He is also a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of English at Trinity College Dublin. Sadowski has published peer-reviewed books and articles (see the publications page for details) on Weimar cinema and modern visual arts, communication theory, linguistics, semiotics, systems theory of literature, and medieval and Renaissance literature. Sadowski's new book The Semiotics of Light and Shadows: Modern Visual Arts and Weimar Cinema, has recently been published by Bloomsbury Academic.
Piotr Sadowski is married, with two grown-up sons. His hobbies include reading history and popular science books, photography and film-making, hill-walking during the summer, cross-country skiing in the winter, and red wine and jazz music in the evenings for the rest of the year.
